Leonids from Sonoita AZ
by Mike J. Shade
Actually had a little storm here, many were quite a bit brighter than
Jupiter and was getting one every few seconds around 3:45 local time. Was
most interesting in that most seemed to originate from Leo which is of
course the radiant but very few stragglers seen in other areas of the sky
as seems to be common. After about 4 show died off quickly with just a few
intermittent streaks.
I would offer that if the moon wasn't so bright, it would have indeed been
very good here with the transparency tonight.
Began observing around 3:15 local time, wrapped it up around 4:05 local
time.
Nothing at all for earlier predicted storm.
