MB last night -- better late than never

by Andrew Pierce

I didn't get up to MB last night until 9:30, but better late than never. I brought the 14.5 inch Teleport, but not my kid. Temps in the upper 40s, no wind, very nice conditions. Saw some new faces, which is encouraging. Highlights for me were NGC 1049, a globular cluster in the Fornax system galaxy and eight galaxies in downtown Fornax. Gee its easy to get disoriented there. Also checked out NGC 1514, a very nice planetary in Taurus and NGC 249 a very dim one in Cass, among other more northerly objects.
