The sky was very good. The seeing after midnight was very good, or better. Saturday night was maybe the best for transparency and seeing. The temps were moderate. I didn't get to Cal Star until Friday morning. Apparently it was near freezing on Thursday night. Friday night was in the 40s F. Saturday night no jacket needed, I used a light sweater and cap.
People were well spread out over the field. No problems. It was a fun, relaxing event. I took my AP 155 EDFS night time observing and Tak FC-100 for daytime H-Alpha viewing. After about 1:30 am the seeing let us have very nice views of Saturn.
Looking forward to next year's Cal Star.
