More mondo observing

by David Kingsley

I had a wonderful time at CalStar tracking down some remaining globulars in the Milky Way galaxy. Since the summer objects are setting, I am continuing the project by tracking down as many extragalactic globulars as I can see in fall and winter galaxies. I had picked up a few of these before. But it has been fun making a more concerted effort with several dozen. I also find I'm learning a lot more about both globs and galaxies by combing through the literature as part of the hunt.

I'll write a more detailed observing report when things settle down a bit at work. In the meantime, I'd like to add my thanks to the CalStar organizers for a truly outstanding weekend, (and to Bob, Albert, and Peter for being great roommates in the astrocabin).
