Up the hill at Coe we had temps starting at 78, cooling all the way down to 73. Humidity was 22% increasing to 29%. This was a night for static straps. We could see much brown murk (smoke?) in the valleys. Wind was never a factor. Dust remained at ground level.
Seeing supported ~250 - 300X; light domes were very low; transparency was excellent! Structure in the Milky Way was apparent before total darkness.
Using a C-11, I routinely worked to mid-mag13 Herschell IIs till sun rise.
BTW, there were five vehicles, and maybe 7 scopes. Decent night!
