A relatively small group had a great night at MB last night. Not a cloud to be seen anywhere, the seeing was at least fair, sometimes good, and it was much darker than usual. Our galaxy was brighter in the South than I've seen it anywhere near town, although it faded out towards Cassiopeia, due to the usual light dome, which was still there, although quite diminished, presumably by some fog down lower. (I didn't get a good lim. mag. test done...I forgot to do one early on, then I tried one in Aql just before leaving, but there is a big gap between 5.4 and 6.0 in that triangle, and that's right where we were, at least for my poor eyes ; at that time, all of the other regions were too low in the sky or in the wrong direction.)
How was it at Coyote? Looking forward to Saturday there!
