It is one of those rare San Francisco nights where the sky is clear thus allowing people strolling along the beach and the trails up at Land's End to gaze upon diamonds hanging in the heavens.
Venus, Saturn, Mars, Jupiter and a lovely sliver of the moon capped a perfect sunset. From the windswept (and I do mean windswept) vista point above the Cliffhouse, one could look up and see a sky-scape that rivals the best works of art.
About 10 people showed up specifically to see the planets and one couple who had recently won a 60mm telescope and binos brought their winnings to do some planetary observing.
At 9 the wind started to pick up even more. It was a good clue to get in the car, look out some more and return home.
