First look at Comet Linear 2000 WM in Perseus from my back porch tonight through my 4 inch Tak refractor. Easily seen with a 14 mm Pentax XL with a bright central condensation and a fan-shaped tail at PA 210. This comet is supposed to brighten over the next month and should be a pretty neat sight through a larger scope at a darker site.
Also saw the small companion star next to Rigel which was surprisingly easy to spot given the huge difference in magnitudes.
