Large, complex sunspot group

by Rich Neuschaefer

There is a large, complex sunspot group on, I believe, the leading limb of the Sun. Any help with this would be appreciated. Through my refractor, with the star diagonal pointing up, I believe the Sun rotates from right to left in the field of view.

The large group is near the right hand limb of the (setting) Sun, as seen through the eyepiece. It has at least 5 umbras.

There is another good sized spot above the large group and nearer the limb. There a number of smaller spots near the middle of the disk. Another large group is on the left hand limb.

UPS just delivered a solar Kendrick Baader film solar filter for my AP Stowaway. I was using a 7mm type I Nagler eyepiece, giving about a 65x. The mount is a TV TelePod head on a Bogen tripod.
