I spent the last week at Lake Eleanor in Yosemite. I was up at 4AM on Sunday morning with two other people to view the Perseids. We saw a pretty good show. (Good enough that the two non-astronomers didn't grouse about being dragged out of bed without coffee.) I would estimate more than 60 per hour (although I made no effort to collect a proper count). The quarter moon was up and very close to the radiant making viewing dimmer meteors more difficult. Clouds kept strolling through (since 11PM the previous night). At 5 the sky became covered with a blanket of clouds.
The following night (Sunday) while at my telescope I saw a few more meteors. Far less frequent, but some were more spectacular than that morning due to the moon being down.
