Weekend report, short & sweet:
Hot temps during the days (90's?), mild/cool nights. Very dry conditions, the driest I've seen there so far.
Seeing on Friday was fairly transparent, though steadiness was in and out. Seeing on Saturday was steadier, but with less transparency due to high thin clouds moving through the area. Overall rating for both nights: quite satisfactory for my purposes (faint fuzzy hunting), perhaps less so for those wanting some good Mars viewing/imaging.
Astronomers present were myself, Jeff Crilly, Jamie Dillon, Nilesh Shah, Burt May, Cary Colwell, Herman Ferrier, Tom Lougheed, Bill Bishop, Dave & Nathaniel Cooper, Lynn Sperry and his brother.
Overall, a good weekend.
And now........24 days to Lassen..........
