That was a great night at Dinosaur Point for me! I logged in 31 new objects in Virgo and 8 in Coma (reobserving many others). With the soft seeing, it was actually easier for me to galaxy/star hop with their close proximities than it was in Leo and Corvus--no luck there. Now I have 26 H-1 objects to go and 3/4 H-2.
Observing through the 14.5" StarMaster was something beyond Heaven and I couldn't stop until 4:00 am (or was that the Chai?). At that time Coma was so much in the mush that I finally had to kick myself and say, Quit!! I dismantled only to really kick myself as Sag was blooming in full brilliance along with Scorpius. Beautiful, clear skies just to look at with a myriad of meteors darting all over. Three of them lit up the sky like a full moon.
The temps fell from 59 deg. and ended up around 45. The humidity, also, started around 59% but rose, staying mostly in the 80's. Toward 2:00 am it was getting in the 90's (if not before). I heard one observer yell out that he was dewed up, but most were unaffected.
I was very content to see so many familiar faces--the gang--and to not look up and see clouds. Good way to end my vacation.
