I got up early also to catch the show. As silly as it seems to stand in wonder looking at space junk fly over it is awesome to do. I think it dates back to my very first days of watching satellites in the back yard. My first real memories are of sitting out in the yard in Martinez Ca. watching search lights go back and forth and seeing something flying overhead leaving a trail of sparks and stuff. I yelled at my parents and they caught the tail end of it. We found out the next day that it was a piece of space junk reentering the atmosphere. This was in the early 70's and I have been looking up ever since. I was about 5 years old then and the guy down the street had a telescope set up and we used to look through it every once in awhile... memories... great pass's this morning, looked at mars through the scope that was still set up from the night before.
