I've been observing Jupiter again tonight. First the reemergence of Europa, and now for the past hour the GRS. The Great Red Spot Lee Side Turbulence is quite impressive tonight! (thanks Jeff!). The overlapping oval-like swirls make for an white, mottled and snowy apparition - almost like a small fork in the SEB. Tonight, I even thought I could see the EB - a first for me!
Brrrr! It's too cold here in the land of the Golden Gate for any more observing tonight. It's 49 degrees and I had to put on my ski bib to keep warm. Telescope used tonight: 4.1" f/6 AP Traveler refractor, eyepiece Lanthanum 2.3 for 276x.
