Our sky was no where near that dark :-(
... In the hour we observed we counted about 40 meteors, half of which were Perseids. The rest were coming from many directions.
We didn't count but we didn't see that many. I guess we saw about 10 each in the hour we watched. We're sleepy now but it was fun anyway :-)

They stunning in my 12" LX200. Saturn's rings are much wider open than last year; it makes Cassini's division a lot easier :-) And as a bonus for my first view of the King of Planets there was a double shadow transit in progress (Io and Europa).
