Last night I'd stayed up reading, incl TAC. Just after 2 am, there was a pretty sky overhead in Salinas, with the Beehive just inside naked eye, so the transparency was likely around 4.7-4.8.
Sat down and watched for about 20 minutes, saw 6 bright meteors. The best one was the first, streaking across the SE corner of Cancer.
The Geminids for several reasons are my favorites; figured they deserved at least some attention, and here some notice.
