One of the TAC observing group was having a party at his house in Northern San Jose. He had his 10" Meade SCT and Takahashi FS-128 set up in his backyard. We watched the sun rise over Clavius. It took us a little while to be sure it was Clavius. The walls looked so different than when Clavius is more fully lit. First there was one bright ring inside Clavius and later two bright rings like wire rimmed glasses looking out of the darkness. The evening was really for showing how to do CCD imaging. The images possible from in town with the Tak FS-128 and the higher end version of the SBig ST8 are amazing.
