Friday Morning Stars - Andromeda Strain

6/18/99 Observing, Tonopah, conditions very WET, Moon New, sky glow low, moisture content VERY high, temperature 55 degrees. 10" DOB.

Note: Conditions deteriorated to very poor at the end of the session. Everything was getting wet except the Primary and Secondary.

Began about 0330 hours 6/18.

Primary Target area Andromeda and Cassiopeia.

Finished around 0430 hours 6/14 due to dew starting to set on everything (that's why the charts are made out of heavy paper).

New objects:

ANDROMEDA (GALAXIES!)

• M110
• M31
• M32 - TOOK A REAL GOOD LOOK AT THIS AND IS POPS OUT NICELY AT 312 X

CASSIOPEIA (SMALL OPEN CLUSTER HUNTING!)

• M52
• 0129
• 0663
• 0457
• 34 W DOUBLE
• M103 SMALL!
• 7789 REAL NICE AT LOW POWER BUT DIM
• 0654

CAN'T FIND:

• M33 EVERYTHING WAS GETTING WET AND THE SUN WAS COMING UP 0430 H.
