We got lucky last night, June 16, with the moon (very nice low views straight throug 80mm refractors -- the Vermiform Valley was showing well, good looks at Endymion and the Gang Of Four).
But 'showtime' was Mars, with Acidalia rolling around and Margeritifer starting to show again. Last night I thought I may well have seen Vallis Marineris, but it was not (alas) "for certain." Still, there was enough detail visible to at least think it possible, which is pretty good.
Another vote for binoviewers: don't leave your home planet without one.
