I apologize if this has been noted in any of the reports from that night, as I haven't had time to read any of them. Did anyone mention that spectacular bolide that went directly overhead and then fractured into several pieces (I saw two) and finally faded? It was so bright that shadows were clearly cast on the ground. I was looking at my star chart and nearly shouted, "hey, turn off that flashlight!" when others began shouting about it, so I looked up in time to catch the final second. It was wonderful and awesome.
