Less than two days old, the moon hung around for a couple of hours to give us something to look at before "astro twilight" Saturday night.
Very nice "terminator to limb" view of the Humboldt Sea, complete with shock ring effect.
Especially interesting were a northern "gouge" or very wide valley to the north of Crisium (butting against it), another more "normal" narrow one to the south of Crisium, and a particularly distinct valley running along the terminator in the far north.
I'm not familiar with any of these features and don't have names, but their unfamiliarity and the rarity of the light that brings them out made them particularly rewarding...
