For all of you naked-eye (0x) folks, Mercury is looking great in the morning (6:15am'ish), and there's still a couple of days to go before it hits greatest elongation.
On Tuesday it was wonderful to see Mercury just two or three degrees south of the moon. Brought back memories from just over a quarter century ago when I saw Mercury for the first time. In that same general time period, standing on a hill over in Pacifica, I remember another 0x thrill: seeing my shadow cast by Venus!
(OK... so I'm easily amused! \;^)
