I had a great view of our celestial backyard while lying down on the bed looking out the window at around 4:30am in San Jose. There it was the Moon , Jupiter followed by Saturn and finally Venus shinning like a beacon in the sky. Then something amazing happened, while looking at Jupiter naked eye, I found myself looking at it's moons, one on the left and two on the right side, at first I thought I was seeing things, so I started looking at it at different angles, but there they were very faint... I had to find out , so I grabbed my trusty 30 x 70 binoculars and headed outside. Yes sir, for the first time I had seen them naked eye. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this kind of sighting or is it a rare occasion when the seeing might be crystal clear for one to see the moons. Either way it was a great site to see these guys line up like this again. Now I can't wait to watch them through my telescope when they begin to rise up at night.
Clear sky's are here again !!!
