Summer Visitors at the Peak

With help, I was able to identify and view the brightest of these globs, G1(?), in a 10"/f4.5 from Chews Ridge about 9 yrs ago. The biggest problem is identifying the things, they look pretty much like fuzzy stars.

The guy with the 17.5" was having pretty good success at this. (I forget his name, this was with the PAS group; the astronomer was running a four sided solid wooden tube 17.5" dob.)

Of course, these were darker, steadier skies than we usually get at FPk. But, it should be possible, especially if we get an inverted night with fog down below.

BTW, did anyone else notice how much COLDER it was down at SanJaunB than at the summit?
