A big thank you for all that helped put my scope together!! Jim Bartolini did most of the hands-on grunt work, but all the project managers with their special tools were most appreciated--Richard N, Richard N22, Mark Wagner, Gil, John Kukl, Bill Arnett, etc. Forgive me if I'm not remembering your name.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
And thank you, Mark, for the make shift finder. Thanks, John, for the bungie cords. Thanks, Gil, for the Barlow. And thanks again, Jim, for your precision work putting it together.
I had an awesome time with the scope. It was my first time seeing M42. The next morning I had my heart in my throat just thinking about it. It almost reduced me to tears. I felt like Jodie Foster in "Contact" when she went on her journey and looked out the window at the universe and said, "It's so beautiful, it's so beautiful." That's all I could say when I saw M42.
