Fun in Ophiuchus and mini-M57

by Mark Johnston

Few weeks ago was 'Glob Night in Ophiuchus' for me while up at Coe and Montebello. I agree on 6293 being nice but gave equal rank to 6356. It was fun pushing my 11" SCT limits to try to squeeze what I could from the tiny little guys.

My surprise find of the night was the planitary, 6369. With all the talk on M57 over the weekend I bring this little brother up because it is similar in a 'smoke ring' type of way. Don't think anybody will be finding the central star in this guy although there must be one there else we would not see 'the smoke ring'.

Also from the H400 list for my closing jewel I enjoyed the wide-field show in open cluster NGC6633. This naked eye object lays on top of a dense star backdrop and is nice enough to be on the SAC110 list and is one of the larger objects on the Herschel 400.
