Daylight McNaught and danger

by Leonard Tramiel

If you try this be VERY careful.

Find a place where you can stand with you head in a SOLID shadow. DON'T USE A TREE, leaves move. Scan the area to the upper left of the blocked sun with binos. I estimate the comet is less than 10 deg from the sun.

I just did this using my house to produce that shadow. After a bit of scanning, there was the comet. It was so bright and obvious in the binos I'm still surprised I can't see it naked eye. Perhaps those with less nearsightedness could.

WOW!

Please be VERY CAREFUL.
