Great Seeing in Backyard

by Lou Hlousek

Seeing in my backyard in Fremont was pretty good too. I was looking at the moon with my 85mm refractor about 7:20 and marveling how sharp things were when I spotted a small circular object estimated to be about 1/80 the diameter of the moon scooting across its face. At first I thought it was a floater in my eye but I was able to follow it with the scope after it crossed into the blue sky. It crossed a moon's diameter in about 5 sec. The only thing I can think of is a weather balloon?
