Satellite Last Night

by Alexander Avtanski

Hi,

Yesterday me and my neighbours were outside, watching for some owls that are living in the palm-trees next to their house. I had with me that info on the ISS pass from heavens-above.com, and also the info on a -6 Iridium flash. The "Look, I'll make a star appear!" trick with the Iridium flash did well, and the ISS was a hit. The evening was a lot of fun, and the batteries of my position-indicating device using emission of coherent electromagnetic radiation with 532nm wavelength are almost completely drained. [I know that any mention of you-know-what will get me kicked off this mailing list, so I'm censuring myself here, :-)]

Tonight they want me to print a detailed list of all satellite passes and we're going in a nearby park to watch.
