Done, Fin, Completed: Ship-it!

by Richard Crisp

this is a new personal record. Maybe I should have gone for 20 hours each in Ha and [OIII] but 17 hours in each is enough for now. I am getting tired of looking at this image so it is high time that I move on.

Again: 34 x 30 minutes Halpha, 34 x 30 minutes [OIII]. 34 hours total exposure

18" f/12.6 classical cassegrain used at f/7.1 with FLI Maxcam 10

Custom Scientific 3nm FWHM Ha and [OIII] filters used.

Guiding via a Lumicon Giant Easy Guider and ST7E with Atik 0.5x focal reducer added to nosepiece of guide camera to assist in reachng focus.

Captured with Maxim DL 3.21 (!) and processed simply: no DDP, no deconvolution, just simple levels and curves primarily.
