Comet SWAN from Menlo Park

by Pentti Kanerva

Just in from a bit of front-lawn astronomy. The comet was easily found with 9 x 25 binoculars. Fuzzy grey ball with a stellar core in 5" f/12 Mak at 38x, 62x, and 73x. Could not see a tail.

A peek at two colorful doubles, Epsilon of Bootes and Alpha of Hercules at 220x, and the Ring Nebula as well.
