The Snake and Leo Triplet from FP 3/29-30

by Jeff Crilly

Here's a couple other images from Saturday night...

The Snake, B72, Dark Nebula...

(I've always wanted to do that one - Thanks to John Gleason for pointing it out.)

And the Leo Triplet plus friends...

(This probably needs a bit more work.)

(I also shot a virgo/markarians-chain thing but I've yet to put through the pipeline.)

It did indeed seem like a good night. Lotsa fog in the valley and at the coast. When the MW rose, it was very well defined. Off ramp, knots, all the good stuff.

I headed down from the hill at about 10am Sunday... By then it was very warm, creeping into the high 70s. And it was one of those classic hill-tops-like-islands-in-the-fog-mornings. The fog was still hanging in about to gilroy.

Makes me want to make a mid-week run back up there before the moon gets too annoying.
