Boy, am I glad I got my taxes done on Friday. Freed up Monday night for observing.

Just time for a quick OR...

I called in the permit on Monday afternoon and sent an OI to the TAC list, but it was just at that time that the server went down. So far, as of about 8:30 am on Tuesday, that OI doesn't seem to have gone through. So, apologies to anyone who could have made use of the OI.

As a result, James Turley and I had MB to ourselves on a surprisingly good Monday night. I was afraid of a patch of cirrus that was approaching the coast, but it must have dissipated. Cool beans. Temps were in the low 40s, there was some light to moderate wind, transparency was on the good side of average. SQM reading was around 19.8 to 19.9 mags per square arcsec at midnight. Started out moderately wet, but got drier, and I didn't need to use dew heaters.

Did more ED80 imaging. Had some gremlins, but got some data collected. I tried to shoot the Rosette, but I didn't get any nebulosity. That's probably not surprising, since I was using a stock 20D. Shot the M95-95-106 area. Also shot Omega Centauri, and I managed to get some useful data despite its being only a couple of degrees above the southern horizon. Thank goodness for Registax.

I'll probably go again tonight. I'll post an OI - or at least try to - if I do.
