Castro Valley backyard

Well the scope was still in collimation and it took very little effort to be up and running.

The seeing is actually quite good tonight but it is wet (duh)

At 8:10pm I was peeking at the Trapezium at 339x. Now it was a long ways from being "dark", yet I could easily pick out the "E" star in the trapezium.

Then I turned to Saturn and could easily see the cassini division but boy my eyepieces are dirty!

Then I took a quick look at the terminator on the moon and was amazed by the details visible in some of those craters.

Maybe I should take the time to learn their names, after all I have one of the "old" Rukl's atlases,

I am tired though and so will probably take a look at a few OCs and then call it a night.

It is nice out for a change!
