last night's shenagigans

by Jamie Dillon

Joe Bob's telling the truth. Those clouds all dropped, swear. It was clear by 7:30. I was chasing galaxies in Eridanus to my heart's content. Then we did have some of the best views of Mars I've ever seen, lots of fine details. Jardine and I had the SW lot to ourselves, and there were 3 worthies over at the Observatory. Limiting magnitude was around 5.7 or so, seeing 4/5. Not at all shabby.

It clouded over around 0030. Jardine and I sat down, looked at the stars thru the moving clouds, and talked about what is and isn't real. Great place to think about vastness.

OR also to follow.
