A little backyard imaging from last night

by Richard Crisp

it has been three weeks since I shot any images and even though it was very wet last night (rain on thursday night/friday morning), I went ahead and tried a bit of widefield last night.

I was soaking wet outside and i had several images spoiled by dew on the camera lens until I finally dragged out my dew heater equipment and got it running again. Before it disappeared into the trees I did manage to take four exposures in Halpha (3nm CS) of 20 minutes duration.

This is an area I shot last spring and I have been eager to return to it. So I will probably try some other filters etc over the next few imaging sessions and add to the image.

I used the 150mm medium format Pentax Takkumar 150mm f/2.8 lens with it stopped down to f/4. Camera was the CM10XME from FLI. I used the home made frame for the camera lens gear etc. Links to that are on the webpage referenced above.

I have not shot flats yet.
