Houge and Coyote

by Rashad Al-Mansour

The public event at Coyote was a treat, the people gathered around my scope got views of some of the brighter TAC eye candy, Jupiter the Moon and a few M objects. I was using Bino-viewers with the LX90 when on the Moon and Jupiter people were blown away with the view of crater Fabricius. It was shaded very well and showed off the mountians and collapsed walls to the max given the seeing condition and the low angle of Moon.

For me, the highlight of the trip could have been seen from my backyard in San Francisco! The Sun put on an amazing display yesterday. Off and on I spent about 2 hours making observations with my H-Alpha rig. The detail was incredible!

Well, just 24 days till SSP! Yahoooooooo!
