I had no problem observing it from Plettstone last weekend (June 2-4) with a 13" scope. However, it appeared to be much fainter than mag 9. It's brightness appeared quite similar to nearby mag 12 galaxies NGC 4900 and NGC 4845. It might have been a magnitude brighter, but certainly not three magnitudes.
