To Coe SP And Then Back To Monterey

by Craig Colvin

Sorry you left Peter. Six of us showed up, three were first-timers to Coe. While it looked like we might get skunked at sunset, conditions improved and it turned out to be a very enjoyable night.

When I arrived at 8pm the wind was definitely blowing but I was hopeful it would die down at sunset as is often the case. It did die down but not much. It was blowing about 10mph until about 10pm when the winds dropped even further. By midnight it was just a very light breeze, but it did pickup again around 1:15am.

There were some high clouds but they mostly confined to the west, and around 10pm when the winds died down there was a fairly thick layer of fog off to the west. We concentrated mainly on objects to the South and East and had no real problems with the clouds/fog.

It wasn't the best night at Coe, but it turned into a very good night at Coe.

It's late so I'm off to bed, OR to follow later today.
