Coyote Lake 30 Jan

by Mark Bracewell

Half a dozen folks at Coyote last night got some pretty dark sky - Bob J. said it was 5.9 limiting mag for him.

Cold - really cold - but no dew (except on the seat of my chair, yecch!).

Worked some more on my doubles list with the occasional detour to look at eye candy. Got off to a rocky start but patience was rewarded with 6 very nice colorful doubles in a row. All worth a look as they are high in the sky now and all easy (between 30x-75x with an 80mm f/6). The last 4 all have almost the same PA too which was kinda fun (ok, so I am easily amused). Great color, I recommend them all if you like purdy stars.
