SF Sunset Dec 18/19

I was thinking of attending the SFAA star party, but had other commitments, so I just did a short observing session near my house as usual. Seeing was pretty good, as I could make out the E/F trapeziums quite readily in 8" at 257x. U GEM still quiescent, Z CAM (the prototypical UGZ cv) in standstill at 12.0 and V1159 ORI faint, below 14.0 Maybe last chance to do any "deep" objects before the Moon gets to be a factor.
