to all who showed up last night for the Pacheco Star Party - at one point we had 20 scopes up and running, all flavors being represented. The public turn-out was lower than expected, I'm sure due to the questionable weather just before sunset, but the ranger was happy. Probably 15 of us stayed past 10pm for the triple shadow transit, looking at various objects and returning to Jupiter every so often until 11 or so when the show really got started. The seeing was pretty inconsistent, but there were enough moments of clarity to really enjoy the night. Most of us packed up as soon as Callisto's shadow left the disc.

All in all, a successful public viewing session followed by a neat show put on by Jupiter and cast.

Thanks again to all TACos who participated, and I hope to see you all (and more!) on May 1st!
