Jupiter show

by Mark Wagner

Nice views tonight. Steady seeing here in Los Gatos. 207X on the 10" f/5.7 CPT Dob on an Equatorial Platform.

Two shadows, two moons, on the disk of Jupiter. Both in the NEB, with a prominent GRS in the SEB. The moon toward the leading limb was almost completely off its shadow, more difficult to detect at first that the moon near the trailing limb, which was obviously over its shadow.

Hope others got to see this one. I don't think I've ever seen a double transit where both moons are over their shadows.
