brief one from Castro Valley

by Richard Crisp

the good news: it was clear for the first time since who knows when. The bad news: the seeing was really really soft. I was surprised too, initially, but then I looked at the jetstream map and saw a NNE to SSW flow offshore with our air coming off the high plains. I guess that explains the poor seeing.

It was nonetheless nice to be in the backyard under the stars again. I really enjoyed that.

I finally shut things down about 11:00pm. I didn't get anything too useful though, but it was nice to get out anyway.

Did anyone else "brave" the elements last night?
