10/25/03 Henry Coe State Park

We had a decent though not incredible night, Saturday. Maybe a dozen scopes, quiet and friendly gathering, including BP himself.

Transparency was not great, but OK to allow ~ mag 14.2 - 14.5 though a C11. Seeing was steady, supporting over 300x views.

Conditions: shorts were in order, long shirt. The warm breeze slowed/stopped after midnight leaving the parking lot very dry and comfy. Dust was a problem, though not severe. High thin cirrus moved in from the north after midnight, though could still work southerly targets through Orion and Lepus. At 03:30 most had packed up their gear and headed for home.

Should transparency improve, I may try another session this evening.
