MB Sat Night

by Phil Chambers

Well, MB, contrary to the sky clocks, was marvelous this evening. Started to haze up about 11:30. Stayed warm all evening.

NY40 was watched in a couple of dobs off and on for the evening. The GEM mounted stuff didnt have much luck. The thing was moving so fast that unless you could scan at will with a dob, it was tough duty.

Cass was clear as a bell. What light dome there was seeping through the lower haze was nullified by the "great polluter".

Had stars all the way to the NE horizon. Havent seen that too much at MB. The fog and haze was quite accomodating. The PAS party was pretty fogged over and it is only a few miles down the road. We got some folks that left there and came up to MB.

About 10 scopes. A nice evening.
