Houge

by Phil Chambers

Well, contrary to the naysayers. Houge had pretty good skys last night. The milky way was evident even up to 11 or so.

With anothers 11 in CI, we took a look at Neptune and Uranus even though Uranus was kind of between the trees and through a light pole. Yes, the image was turning from a green disk to a green blob and back again but it was barely above the horizon.

M13 at zenith was an "oh WOW" object last night. It was pretty good out there.

Couldnt find the comet though (Hoenig). Not sure I ID'd the star field correctly. It is mag 10 right now but small. Tonight at Coyote maybe someone can find it. I have the coordinates in my pocket if anyone wants to try. It appears to be pretty small right now. I will try but am bringing the C5 so it may be a little small to get a good view.
