Brief MB report

by Rich Neuschaefer

Last night at MB Steve was the first to find Hind's with his 6" refractor. Then Phil found it with his Nextstar 5, and I brought up the rear finding it with my Stowaway. Aperture wins looking at Hinds Crimson Variable star. It was amazingly red in Steve's 6 inch.

Steve was also the first to see a very long lasting and bright shooting star. I was diging stuff out of my truck and heard Steve saying something like "Wow, look at that. It's still going..." I looked up and saw the very bright shooting star moving south, passing the Great Square and continue way to the south southeast . It was leaving a bright trail as it crossed the sky. A fun night.
