Coe conditions 12/15/00

by James Turley

Good night at Coe.

Dry dry dry. Humidity started at high 70's percent then dropped to low of 40 percent after sunset, remaining steady in mid 40's. Temperature steady at 45 to 48 degrees throughout the evening.

Occasional short strong gusts of wind coming from the N and NW, followed by dead calm. San Jose valley layered with fog and thick black very low clouds making strange shapes. Coe was above all that.

Some thin high clouds and scud most of the night, but not annoying. Best views near Orion SE and East.

Gravel surface slightly damp, but well drained.

Targets described later.

Did I say Coe was dry?
