I know how excited people were with my first CCD image of a street sign, so I decided to see if the camera would be any good on astronomical objects. [snip...]

Friday night was a great night at Coe all around, and it was a pleasure to watch Richard play with his new camera. (New toys are *always* fun!) It was great watching "live" images download from that camera/ShortTube combo. Kept shaking my head, just amazed by the images Richard was getting via the 80mm refractor, espcially of the HH. Of course, it was great to sneak a peak now and then through Mark Wagner's and Ken Head's side-by-side 18" photon-hoggers, who were both going after faint fuzzies in the general vicinity of Ursa Major. After one view of a particular galaxy field, well, all I can say is that I'm going to have to learn to count higher. ;) What a great night.
